A SCHOOL in Worcester is having trouble getting rid of its surplus furniture even though it is offering to give it away for free.
Thornton House Special School was left with chairs, tables and computer trolleys after a large reorganisation and refurbishment during the summer.
"They are in excellent condition and it would be a shame to throw them out," said headteacher Hugh Thomas.
"We are not going to charge for them but if people want to make a donation they are welcome to."
The furniture is being kept in the garage at the school's Wyld's Lane site.
"There must be someone who wants these tables," said Mr Thomas.
If anyone does want any of the tables or chairs they should contact deputy head Angela Cook on 01905 355191 to arrange to pick them up.
