THE Christmas services at Holy Trinity, Bosbury, were well attended with families and friends joining the regular worshippers. On Sunday, December 23 we began our carol service in the traditional way with a solo verse of Once in Royal David's City sung beautifully by Anne Kaye. Following well-loved carols, readings and a meditation led by Nicky Seabright, mulled wine and mince pies were dispensed by Liz and Brian Clutterbuck to an appreciative congregation. The annual Christingle service took place on Christmas Eve followed later that evening by Midnight Mass.
On Monday, December 31, the Bosbury Big Breakfast proved to be a huge success! Were you there? If so you will know just how tasty it proved to be. Epiphany Sunday, January 6. The main service of the day will be a Deanery Service at Ledbury Parish Church, when the Rev Nick Read OBE, Diocesan Agricultural Chaplain, will come to preach. He has been at the forefront of national support services for the agricultural industry for several years, never more so than in the foot and mouth crisis.

Bosbury Post Office & Stores hope to benefit from some New Year resolutions. If we could buy just one more item a week than we do at present it would make a big difference to their turnover. It is not easy for a small business to keep going unless it has the full support of the community. Other villages have lost their shop with the advent of the supermarket. Let us ensure that we have the convenience of a shop in Bosbury for the foreseeable future.
