MALVERN Rangers' scheduled home Express & Star West Midland League Division One (South) fixture against Bustleholme Reserves on Saturday was postponed a couple of weeks ago because the council staff were on their festive holidays and Rangers were unable to make alternative arrangements.
Unfortunately it was a fixture that Rangers could have done well without losing as they have only played nine league games to date, the lowest number played by any side in the division, and they are six matches behind some of the clubs with another cup game scheduled next week.
Rangers have, however, made a reasonable start to the inaugural West Midland League campaign, winning four and drawing one of their opening games picking up 13 points.
Tomorrow (Saturday) Rangers, sponsored by Willie Thornes Snooker Club, are due to visit fellow league rivals Chaddesley Corbett in the semi-final of the Worcester Nursing Junior Cup, kick off 1.45pm. Players to meet Brooklyn Motors, 11.45am, Swan Whittington, noon.
