ANGLERS from the Malvern area will be able to get tips and advice from one of the country's most respected former world coarse fishing champions when Ian Heaps visits the county this month.
After years of touring the country and sharing his experiences and wealth of angling expertise with anglers young and old, Ian has decided to concentrate more on running his School of Angling at his 12-acre fishery in Pembrokeshire.
Ian said: "I feel the need more than ever to help anglers improve whatever skills they already have, and also importantly to encourage youngsters to take up the sport by teaching them the basic skills required to catch that first fish."
The Ian Heaps Angling Road Show will be at the Barbourne Ex-Servicemen's Club, The Moors, Worcester on Thursday, January 17.
The shows are in association with Gone Fishing and supported by Shakespeare, Sensas and the ACA.
As well as demonstrations and advice from Ian there will be a raffle with prizes worth up to £250 including Sensas Groundbait - plus the chance to win the Shakespeare Superteam 13.5 Pole worth £750.
The show's compere is well known angling journalist and broadcaster Peter Thompson.
Doors will open at 7.15pm for a 7.45pm start. Admission: Adults £3, children U16, if with an adult £1.50. There will be a licensed bar throughout the evening.
