HOUSEBUILDER Barratt says it is delighted with the deal to buy Malvern Town Football Club's Langland stadium.
The company exchanged contracts with the club just before Christmas, after ten months of negotiations.
But the club will have to find a new stadium before Barratt can move in.
A spokesman for Barratt said: "We are pleased to have agreed a partnership with Malvern Town Football Club which will result in improved sporting and social facilities for the club, its players, their supporters and the general public.
"When the club relocates to a less sensitive area, the existing ground will be developed for housing, using our very successful Premier range of house types."
The Premier range includes two-bedroom flats to six-bedroom houses. Barratt said it was too early to be more precise about what was planned for the football ground.
