PRE-CHRISTMAS matches got under way on Tuesday with the Starlets Veterans holding their event on Moorlands Farm's Meadow Pool.
Dave Hinde (Redditch) was feeder fishing bronze maggots at peg 28 for four carp, scaling in at 18-9-0.
Second was Peter Taylor (Redditch) 10-4-0 and Brian Hill (Stourport) was third with 8-4-0.
Woodlands View Fur and Feather Open was fished on Top Pools one and two and it was Clive Munslow (Preston Innovations) who showed the way by waggler fishing corn and maggots at peg 38 for an 80-14-0 carp haul.
Dave Hobbs (Woodlands) took second with 74-7-0 from next door peg 37, third Richard Partridge (WMP) 71-12-0.
Thursday saw the Starlets Veterans end their year's events at Woodlands View's Ghost Pool with Mike Millinchip (Kidderminster) taking a clear victory by ledgering corn at peg 12 for 32-9-0 of small carp.
Roy Dugmore (Northfield) followed with 23-0-0 and third was Brian Hill (Stourport) 20-14-0.
At Moorlands Farm the Special Costcutter Open was topped by Bob Jones (Moorlands) from Meadow Pool at peg 54 with a ledgered corn catch of 47-11-0, second Roger Finch (Strettons) 38-12-0, third Mark Pincher (Lifestyle) 29-12-0.
Saturday saw round six of the Moorlands Farm Winter League and it was Barry Gannon (Fosters Elite) who took the top individual honours by ledgering corn at Meadow Pool peg 56 for 74-13-0.
Mark Cook (Mosella SW) took a similar catch of 52-14-0 from opposite peg 12 and third was Vic Bush (Mosella SW) 47-5-0.
Top team were Fosters Elite with 56 points, Mosella SW 51, Lifestyle Blue 48. League leaders are Team Wesson with 78, Lifestyle Blue 77 and Fosters Elite 73.
The Woodlands View Open was held on Arles, Deans and High Pools and it was a modest 11-4-0 of silver fish catch which won the day for Sam Wildsmith (Barnsley Maver) with pole fished maggots from High Pool peg 14.
In second place was Norman Carpenter (Map Starlets) 11-1-0, joint third Simon Nickless (Map Starlets) and Mick Charnell (Leicester Sensas) both 10-14-0.
Sunday at Woodlands View was even tougher with winner John Beesley (Oxford Drennan) waggler fishing maggots on Top Pool peg 37 for 9-7-0, second Mick Goodluck (Tewkesbury) 5-13-0, third Kelly Wood (Woodlands) 3-15-0. Stourbridge top rod Andy Newton (Lifestyle) headed the Moorlands Farm Open with a waggler, corn and maggot catch of 33-10-0 from Bank Pool peg 25, runner-up Rob Wiltshire (Moorlands) had 26-10-0, third Neville Groves (Fosters MG) 21-8-0.
