BROMSGROVE fire fighters were honoured to receive a map of New York from four West Midlands companies, which is set to be presented to America's fire fighters over the next few months.
The map, which is worth more than £700, was given to Bromsgrove fire fighters just before Christmas and will be presented to New York fire fighters by Hereford and Worcester chief fire officer, David O'Dwyer, some time this month or in February.
The companies, Mercia Maps, Dunns Imaging, Giclee Editions and Duncan Mitchell Frames got together to produce the print following the September 11 terrorist attacks.
It is a copy of one produced by John Tallis in 1851. He was a well-known map maker from the nineteenth century.
