DEAR EDITOR - FAR from the thin blue line, I can tell your readers where all the police have gone.
On Tuesday, December 11, a large group of them were standing on the roadside at Martin Hussingtree, on the A38, just outside Droitwich, pulling cars randomly off the road.
At 4pm I became one of those stopped.
I duly obliged and was asked whether I had had a drink that day. I hadn't.
Having thoroughly checked my car and found nothing wrong with it, I was sent on my way.
That sudden interest in me was so much greater than the time I had needed the police.
Then, the best response I could manage was by telephone. The crime I was reporting not significant enough to warrant a personal police attendance.
Perturbed,
Droitwich Spa.
