A MAN from Ashton-under-Hill, Evesham, was one of two who died in an accident last Sunday.
The 46-year-old - he has not yet been named by police - was driving a white BMW 318 car which was in collision with a TVR driven by a 24-year-old man from Islington, London.
The accident happened just after 10.30am on the Evesham to Cheltenham Road near its junction with the Seven Bends road to Tewkesbury and Pershore.
All three emergency services, police, ambulance and fire were involved as both drivers were trapped and had to be cut free. Both were pronounced dead at the scene by a doctor.
Assistant Divisional Officer Stephen Knight, of Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service, said: "There was quite extensive damage to the two cars."
He explained: "We were on the scene for about an hour. First of all we gained access to the two trapped drivers, the doctor certified them both dead and then when police had carried out necessary investigations we removed the two men from their cars."
The road was closed for four-and-a-half hours and traffic diversions set up at Teddington Hands, Aston Cross and Bishops Cleeve.
The deaths have been reported to the Cheltenham and District Coroner, Lester Maddrell who will open the inquests.
