ANOTHER Christmas has come and passed and I must say we live in an exceptionally greedy society.
I fear for its future. In the period leading to Christmas, some shops remained open 24 hours a day. Some remained open on Christmas day.
With seven-day opening 51 weeks of the year, I would have thought they could have closed Monday evening and not opened until Thursday morning.
Most factories and other places of employment close down for at least seven days over Christmas.
Can't people rest at home without the desire to shop on two days over Christmas?
