RESIDENTS of Alcester's former Meadow View home for elderly people are now settling into their new temporary home in Warwick, according to the county council.
The residents moved into their new surroundings at Avon Court during December.
They will stay there while a new residential home and up-to-date housing facilities for elderly people are built on the Meadow View site.
John Bull, the county council's head of adult services said: "I'm pleased to say the move went smoothly and the residents are settling in at Avon Court in time for Christmas.
"The feedback I've had from Meadow View residents is that they're very pleased with their temporary home.
"We've tried to minimise the disruption for them and their families as far as we can and this time next year, we hope they'll be celebrating Christmas in a fantastic new facility in Alcester."
Care home company Prime Life Ltd, which is due to undertake the work on the Meadow View site, is operating Avon Court.
Prime Life Ltd managing director Peter Van Herrewege said: "We're delighted to welcome the Meadow View residents to Avon Court and we'll be doing our best to make their stay as comfortable as possible.
"We'll be helping them to settle in and enjoy Christmas in their temporary new home."
