Saturday, December 1: I attended a coffee morning to raise funds for Alcester In Bloom at the home of chairman Maggie Payne.

On the same day, I attended Alcester Infant School Christmas Bazaar. More than £1,300 was raised.

Sunday, December 2: I saw the opening of the new A&E department at Warwick Hospital.

Friday, December 7: I was invited to attend the celebration assembly at Alcester Infant School and to present certificates and competition prizes.

The same day, Bob and I were invited to join in the Christmas party at Abbeyfields, Henley Street, Alcester.

Saturday, December 8: I attended the Christmas bazaar at Jubilee Court.

Sunday, December 9: Bob and I joined other dignitaries at the annual Christmas toy service at Alcester Baptist Church.

The same day, we also attended the civic service for the Mayor of Whitnash, Cllr Tony Heath, at St Joseph's Church.

Wednesday December 12: I attended the Christmas luncheon and party for the Alcester Darby and Joan Club at Jubilee Court.

In the evening, I attended the Christmas carol civic service for the Mayor of Nuneaton and Bedworth, Cllr Bill Hancox.

Friday, December 14: Bob and I attended a get-together at the Holly Bush to thank all those who work to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Relief.

Sunday, December 16: The Renewal Christian Group held an annual carol service in the Baptist Church, followed by a reception.

Tuesday, December 18: I attended the Meals on Wheels Luncheon Club Christmas dinner at Jubilee Court.

Thursday, December 20: I attended the celebration assembly at Alcester Infant School.

Saturday, December 22: accompanied by Miss Anne Fox, I attended the Mayor of Southam Cllr Carol Pratt's Christmas carol evening held at The Grange Hall, Southam.
