IN-form striker Stewart Hadley has handed Worcester City boss John Barton a boost by agreeing to extend his loan stay at the club for another month.

The Kidderminster Harriers forward has hit the target twice during his first month at the club including a last minute winner against Weymouth.

His spell at St George's Lane has coincided with an up-turn in form for City which has seen them win three of their last four Dr Martens games.

Hadley will be available for the league fixtures against Salisbury City (home), Hednesford Town (away), Folkestone Invicta (home) and Salisbury (away) before his loan contract expires on Monday, February 4.

"His contribution has been immense to be honest and certainly it's no coincidence that our decent return of points from the last six games is due in large part to him," said Barton.

"We're delighted to have got him for a second month and hope he continues his form."

Barton's hopes of raiding Bedworth for a second time this season to sign James Richardson have been put on hold after the capture of Adam Webster but the defender has not been forgotten.

"There is nothing pending on Richardson although we haven't forgotten about him," said Barton.
