Henriksen gave Luton a fright on 26 minutes as he dispossessed right-back Boyce and raced down the Harriers left flank.
His well-struck drive from the edge of the box flew just a couple of yards wide of Ovendale's left-hand post. Ritchie Appleby had to come off injured
The Dane went tearing away down the left again on the half-hour onto Bennett's through-ball but Ovendale advanced to make a superb block and the keeper then clutched the rebound before Broughton could meet the ball.
Broughton nodded wide from an Appleby corner on 32 minutes as Harriers continued to pressurise their high-flying visitors.
An injured Appleby had to come off on 37 minutes with Foster, scorer of two goals on Saturday, taking his place and Bennett dropping back into midfield.
Harriers won a corner on 44 minutes when a Foster shot was blocked but Williams' set piece ran harmlessly across the goalmouth.
Luton mounted an immediate breakaway but Valois wasted the chance to set up a teammate, playing a low pass inside straight into Hinton's path.
Harriers, with youngster Ayres looking assured at the back, cleared the resulting corner.
In first half injury time, Bennett lofted an effort wide from the edge of the area with keeper Ovendale completely stranded.
Luton left-back Taylor was then booked for dissent.
