Redditch United 3 Brierley and Hagley Alliance 1 (friendly)
THREE goals in 10 minutes secured a Redditch United victory against Banks's Premier outfit Brierley and Hagley Alliance.
An early goal from Brierley Hill hitman Richard Perry shocked the Reds into action after he scored on 15 minutes.
A towering defensive header from Brierley Hill's Mark Wilkinson left the Redditch defence ball watching and Perry one-on-one with the keeper.
The prolific former West Hagley hitman coolly slid the ball past united reserve keeper Matt Jones' right hand and into the net.
A minute later Reds striker Paul Danks slammed the ball home from the penalty spot after Reds slipper Richard Field was hauled down in the area.
And Danks was on the mark again on 24 minutes when Nicky Cross' son Steve managed to drag the ball back for him to hammer home past Brierley Hill keeper Phil Walters.
United's third came two minutes later courtesy of debutant Neil Beagan.
A superb header from Tommy Byrne across the visitors' penalty box found the unmarked Began who accurately clipped the ball over Walters.
Brierley Hill pressured until the half time to no effect.
A free-flowing match became disjointed in the second half after both managers decided to change the team around.
Substitute Ben Smith, 17, should have scored on 80 minutes after a great breakaway down the left wing but dragged his right foot shot wide.
Alvechurch striker Michael Campbell also came off the bench but didn't manage to create any chances.
