Pershore Ladies 1, Evesham 1
A COLD wet dreary morning saw Pershore return to the hockey pitch after a four-week break.
This local friendly derby saw tension rise within the first ten minutes with two of Eve-sham's players being warned for verbal abuse towards the home side's umpire.
This aside, the rest of the half was played in good spirits with equal play between both sides and Evesham taking advantage of a break just before half-time to go ahead.
Not to be outdone Pershore came back into the second half determined not to surrender their recent winning run. However, it was a foiled Eve-sham break that saw tempers fray.
Once things had cooled down again some well timed passing up the wing between Sara Adams and Victoria Walford saw the latter's pass deep into the area pick out Trish Kinahan give it the finish it deserved.
Pershore continued to push hard and retained possession throughout. However, their attempts on goal were thwarted and honours were even.
