A TWELVE-year-old girl remains in a stable but critical condition today after she was in an accident with a car in Kidderminster.
A red Vauxhall Nova, driven by a Kidderminster woman, was in collision with the girl outside the Star newsagents on Stourbridge Road.
The girl suffered serious head injuries and was taken to the Diana, Princess of Wales Children's Hospital in Birmingham after the accident just before 6pm on Monday, January 7.
"This is a terribly traumatic event for the girl and her family," said Sgt Bjorn Havinga of Kidderminster police. "The thoughts of myself and my colleagues are with them at this time.
"We need assistance in our investigation to find the cause of this collision. Anyone who witnessed it is asked to contact Kidderminster police station on 01562 820888."
