THE Christmas concert held on Saturday, December 15, at Mappleborough Green Village Hall, of which all proceeds will be donated to the Primrose Cancer Hospice, was well attended by an enthusiastic audience.
They were treated to a mainly seasonal programme of music from the Primrose Choir, led by Kay Hadley and accompanied by Pauline Sherlock.
The concert also featured the highly talented, charming young ladies of the Starlight School of Dance, whose brilliantly choreographed routines from South Pacific and Fame held the audience spellbound.
We would like to pay tribute to the dedicated team of helpers, without whose efforts, often unmentioned, would diminish the enjoyment of the occasion.
In particular, the friendly compering of Keith Williams, the ladies and gentlemen of the front of house and the refreshment teams who ensured ample supply of homemade mince pies, tea, coffee and wine; also the myriad of helpers who prepared the room and tables.
A big thank you and well done to the organiser and may we have more of the same, please?
