MALVERN Rugby Club's Youth Development Policy is now benefitting the Club's top sides as players reach the age of senior status.
No less than seven of the successful Under 17 side from last year have been selected to play so far this term. Richard Fleming and Alistair Hills have both seen first team action, whilst this week the third XV features no fewer than five graduates from the juniors.
Chris Glennie (centre), Oliver Hanbury (flanker), Daniel Kay (wing), Andy Bass (centre) and Dave Baldwin (No. 8) all turn out to give the side a real blend of youth and experience.
"The superb development of our Juniors, under the leadership of Gary Tolley and a band of truly dedicated coaches, is ensuring a rich vein of talent will continue to run through Malvern Rugby Club for years to come," said David Robins, Director of Rugby.
"Our experienced players in the seniors help to nurture this talent, and although we know that, like any club, there is a fall-off as youngsters go away to college, we hope to retain many of these lads for years to come."
