VANDALS have damaged newly built stonework, which took more than a month to complete, around Arrow Valley Lake.
Rocks from the work, which had been put in to stop the banks eroding, have been ripped out and hurled on to the frozen lake.
The project was being carried out by the Environmental Task Force, set up by Redditch Council to take on long-term unemployed people to teach them various skills and help them gain qualifications.
The damage caused to the banks will mean they will be a lot weaker in the areas where the rocks have been taken from.
