REDDITCH skipper Mark Rose said his side were fortunate their game in hand against Veseyans was postponed at the weekend.
The Kingfishers had the chance to go third with a win over the team immediately above them in the North Midlands One table, with the rest of their rivals playing friendlies.
But the cold snap meant the crucial fixture was postponed a second time, but there were no complaints from the Redditch captain.
The Bromsgrove Road side have a seemingly more straightforward task at home to league whipping boys Warley on Saturday (ko 2.15pm).
The basement strugglers are without a point after nine matches and are marooned at the foot of the table, five points adrift of safety.
The Veseyans fixture has been rearranged for Saturday, January 19.
