WOODRUSH are aiming to kick-start their rescue mission when they return to league action on Saturday.
A miserable opening half of the season has left the Icknield Street side marooned at the foot of Midlands Four West South, six points adrift of fourth from bottom and probable safety.
At least three wins are needed before the end of the season with fellow strugglers Stourport, Kings Norton and Dunlop being pencilled in as the ones to win.
But even that feat would leave Woodrush leaning on a points difference currently running at -161.
If the bottom team are to survive on league points they need to at least avoid defeat in another fixture and the next weakest side are Coventry Welsh, who Woodrush entertain on Saturday (ko 2.15pm).
