THE Break-A-Leg Theatre Company raised an impressive £1,770 in just three days thanks to the efforts of its members.
About 20 of the children aged seven to 17 held a "sponsored pack" at Safeway supermarket on the Warwick Highway, helping shoppers get all their groceries safely into bags.
Already £1,000 of the cash has been placed in a fund for a minibus, which will eventually help new members attend the group's workshops.
The rest of the cash will be spent on props, scenery and costumes for the next four shows.
