THE spring programme at the Palace Theatre promises some great nights out with stars such as Stephanie Cole and Joe Brown performing in the coming months, writes Melina Cannon.
The new season kicks off with Aladdin, presented by the Starlight School of Dance, from January 24-26.
February sees Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice from February 4-9 and a tribute to Boyzone frontman and successful soloist Ronan Keating and top pop group Steps on February 13.
Ann Breen performs on February 12 and younger theatregoers will be impressed by Tales From the Wildwood on February 15, which features a huge array of puppets.
Renowned actress Stephanie Cole, of Tenko fame, stars in What Mother Never Told You on February 16, a witty look at "the birds and the bees and the mysteries of the universe".
Kenny Ball and his Jazzmen take to the stage on February 19, followed by legendary rocker Joe Brown on February 20.
Fans of Captain Corelli's Mandolin will enjoy the stage adaptation at the Alcester Street theatre on February 22 and 23, with Cello Man on February 25 and Roll Out the Barrel on February 27.
March sees Old Spice and Springtime Magic as well as Astwood Bank Operatic Society's spring production The Sorcerer, Break-a-Leg Theatre Company, Cooking the Books, magician Geoffrey Durham and Gordon Giltrap taking to the stage.
