THE Alexandra Hospital will be receiving its slice of £1.5 million which is being injected into Worcestershire to reduce "bed blocking" in the NHS.
It comes as part of a £200 million package which is to be distributed to councils nation-wide to try to end unnecessary delayed discharges from hospitals by 2004, announced health minister and Redditch MP Jacqui Smith yesterday.
