IAN Heaps, one of the country's most respected former world coarse fishing champions, is taking to the road on his final tour.
After many years of touring the country and sharing his experiences and wealth of angling expertise with anglers young and old, Ian has decided to concentrate more on running his School of Angling at his 12-acre fishery in Pembrokeshire.
"The old shoe leather is now getting a bit thin, says Ian. "I also feel the need more than ever to help anglers improve whatever skills they already have and importantly to encourage youngsters to take up the sport by teaching them the basic skills required to catch that first fish".
The Roadshow takes place at Barbourne ex-Servicemen's Club, The Moors, Worcester next Thurs-day, January 17.
The shows are in association with Gone Fishing and supported by Shakespeare, Sensas, and the ACA.
As well as demonstrations and advice, there will be a raffle with prizes worth up to £250 including Sensas Groundbait - plus the chance to win the Shakespeare Superteam 13.5 Pole worth £750.
Information about fishing holidays of a lifetime in Ireland will be available.
The show's compere will be well-known angling journalist and broadcaster Peter Thompson.
Doors open at 7.15pm for a 7.45pm start. Admission is adults £3 an accompanied children under 16 £1.50.
