MEMBERS found the River Severn in dire mood at Pitchcroft when fishing for the Charles Thompson Cup.
Several dry nets were spotted on the bank but Davey Jones searched his locker to find three small chub to top the standings!
Results: 1 D Jones 1.1.8; 2 Jim Blanch 0.15.8; 3 Kevin Cotton 0.12.12.
It's the third leg of the EDAA Winter League on Sunday with the draw at the Ferry Cafe at 7.45am.
Team members are asked to confirm their attendance with their captains.
The following Sunday, January 20, there is a Stillwater Series match on the EDAA Canal.
Members uncertain of directions should meet at the old Post Office between 7 and 7-15am. The draw is scheduled between 7.45 and 8am.
Evesham and District Association
THE Association's next fixture is on Sunday, January 13 when the third leg of the Winter League Series will be contested.
The draw will take place at Ferry Cafe at 7.45am when team monies have been paid. Fishing from 9am-1pm on Town and Common Waters.
Team captains are asked to organise teams.
Tunnel Barn Farm
ALL Pools have been fishing well but life has been tough on the Bottom Pool with only small perch and carp being hooked.
Most weights on the Top Pool have been made up of small carp and skimmer bream with pegs 19, 21, 27 and 29 the best with maggot and pinkie the best baits.
Pegs 12-16 and 29-31 have proved the best around the aircator on House One. Carp to six pounds and plenty of similar small specimens and roach have been taken on pinkie and worm.
When fishing has been possible on House Two, roach and golden orf have comprised the main weights on best pegs eight, nine and ten. Maggot and worm have produced the best.

A CLOSELY-FOUGHT contest between 22 anglers saw local ace Dave Pack-wood narrowly lose out in Sunday's Open match on the Warwickshire Open.
The icy waters made life tricky for participants but it was Birmingham's Len Perrins who netted the winning weight pipping Pack-wood by a single ounce.
All fish caught were chub on bronze maggot on waggler and stick float.
Results: 1 L Perrins 8.4.0; 2 D Packwood 8.3.0; 3 Paul Ravenhill 4.15.0; 4 Pete Golding 3.5.0.
