ABOUT £1,000 damage was caused to the Primrose Hospice charity shop in Redditch on New Year's Eve, writes Melina Cannon.
The town centre shop was broken into and a credit card machine stolen, which was later found destroyed.
A statement from the Primrose Hospice said there was another attempt to enter the shop on New Year's Day, but this was unsuccessful.
A Redditch police spokesman said they had asked to check CCTV footage for more information.
Hospice fund-raising manager Jane Wardman said the incidents were a very disappointing start to the new year.
