INCIDENTS of domestic violence fell by 36 per cent over the festive period compared to the same time last year.
There were 36 incidents last year between December 24 and January 2 in Redditch and Bromsgrove compared to 23 this year.
Police had been expecting an annual rise in incidents of domestic violence, which can range from emotional and verbal abuse and arguments to physical assaults.
Any women suffering domestic abuse can drop in to the Citizens Advice Bureau on Unicorn Hill between 9.30am and noon every Friday for help and advice.
