KINGS Heath manager Sean Lawless has been left frustrated by an enforced mid-season break.
A combination of cold weather and the fixture list means the Lye Meadow tenants will have played just once in six weeks by the time they return to action at home to West Midlands Police on January 19.
The lay-off means suspended defender Colin Campbell, fit-again after a shoulder injury, will only miss the league matches against the Police and Highgate.
Midfielder Dave Crumpton is still not ready for a return because of a troublesome back injury.
Lawless has drafted in former West Midlands Fire Service midfielder Wayne Devey from Division One outfit Fairfield Villa.
