A FECKENHAM farmer has been rewarded with an MBE for his dedication to the Young Farmers movement.
Lionel Hill, 64, was listed in the Queen's New Years Honours after spending almost 50 years heavily involved with young farmers clubs (YFC) in Worcestershire and across the country.
YFCs provide a social outlet for young people mainly from rural backgrounds aged between 10 and 26 but many members stay on and continue to support the organisation.
Mr Hill is currently president of the West Midlands are of YFC and one of six deputy national presidents.
