AT the AGM in November, a full complement of branch officials was elected.
Doug Tonks has taken over as Hon secretary and tributes were paid to Fiona Hawkins, who has retired from the post.
A new appointment is Diana Freeling as branch librarian.
Special credits were paid to the editor and publisher of the newsletter, which continues to appear and entertain regularly.
The Remembrance Sunday Service was held at Cookhill Baptist Church and the church collection was added to the Poppy Day collection to reach a total of almost £1,000.
A Christmas coffee morning was held at the home of president Riv Freeling on December 7 and the proceeds were contributed to the proposed Cookhill Millennium War Memorial Fund.
Social committee chairman Marjorie Hill would like members' suggestions for the 2002 programme.
