A WINYATES couple who met after their siblings began courting are celebrating 60 years of married life, writes Becky Procter.
Great grandparents Bill and Olive Davis, of Ibstock Close, had two parties to mark the occasion, one with residents where they live and another at their daughter's home.
The couple, who say the secret to a long and happy marriage is a bit of give and take, met when serviceman Mr Davis, 85, was stationed at barracks in Warwick.
Former typist Mrs Davis, 83, has never been apart from her husband other than hospital visits and the couple used to be keen members of the 55 plus club.
The Queen also sent the Davis' her congratulations on their diamond wedding anniversary.
