BULLDOZERS have moved in to demolish the site of a former Worcester cash and carry store.
The work, which started on Tuesday, is part of a massive redevelopment. A new retail unit is due to spring up on the site as soon as demolition is complete.
Last year, Booker, which has been based in the city for 36 years, moved from its Tybridge Street premises to a new £1.2m state-of-the-art home on the Shire Business Park in Warndon.
In October, firefighters were called to the disused site after vandals torched waste paper inside the building in the early hours of the morning.
The blaze gutted the first floor of the red-brick, Grade II listed Georgian building to the right of the Booker warehouse.
