ATHLETICS: Eight members of Amazing Feet entered the final contest of the club's Annual Race League at Wheaton Aston.
Chris Miles led the club home, completing the scenic 10km road race in an excellent time of 41 minutes 45 seconds for 78th position.
His wife Ruth Miles finished 132nd in 44-31, with Richard Baker 167th in 46-22.
Baker had run the Telford Xmas 10km four days earlier, finishing in 46-19.
Andy Norris was next to finish at Wheaton Aston in 169th (46-47) followed by John Amos, 235th in 51-14, Nicola Beecroft, 238th in 51-45, and Colin Pheasant in 56-18 for 284th.
Lindsay Pulley returned from a bad foot injury to take 288th position in 56-45.
Amos takes the Men's League title for 2001 ahead of Eddie Sanders with Norris third.
Nicola Beecroft finished sixth overall to take the ladies' title in a close finish.
The 2002 Race League begins immediately with the Roman 9 race in Stratford-upon-Avon on Sunday.
A number of club runners also took part in the first Festive 5 race at Kingsbury Water Park.
E Sanders was first home in 32-35 (21st and 3rd male over-50), Amos recorded 33-52 (31st), C Miles 33-57 (32nd), R Miles 36-34 (51st) and Gordon Sims 40-12 (82nd).
