CHESS: Kidderminster Pawns scored a 4-0 victory over St James of Longbridge in Worcester and District League Division One.
The Pawns are the season's surprise package, completing a whitewash despite an error by Derek Digger who was a rook up but lost.
The team was captained by Peter Kitchen, on vacation from Swansea University, who stood in for his father Michael.
