A STOURPORT man caught in possession of child pornography from the internet has been registered as a sex offender and put under supervision for three years.
Police found 200 indecent images of children on Darren Warren's computer when they raided his home in Prospect Road said Clare Linehan, prosecuting at Kidderminster.
Warren, 31, pleaded guilty to six specimen charges of making indecent images.
The magistrates made a rehabilitation order, ordered him to surrender his computer to the police and to pay £118 costs.
They viewed the images on a police laptop computer and examined prints in an album.
None of the material had been distributed to others, either for profit or otherwise, said Paul Hitchcock, for Warren.
The 200 indecent images seized from him compared with many thousands in other cases which had been before the courts.
All of them had been taken from openly accessible sites on the internet and none from secret, criminal, paedophile sources.
The offences had cost Warren his job and he was still without work, Mr Hitchcock told the court.
