TITLE-chasing Kidderminster Carolians hope to have new faces involved in their first fixture of 2002 after three weeks without a Midlands Three West (North) game.

KCs have a tough trip to Bridgnorth on Saturday, defending a proud record of not being beaten by the Severnsiders for five years.

But they need the points to keep up their league challenge as Dixonians head the table on points difference.

Bridgnorth are not far behind in fourth and each game between the two has been tight over the years.

KCs must put the loss against bottom club Leek on December 22 to the back of their minds.

But Bridgnorth, with two wins and a good away draw at Dixonians, will be full of confidence.

KCs, after a terrible injury list last season, are being hit once again but the list is decreasing.

And they also hope to have at least three new names on the teamsheet for Saturday's match.

Two will be well-known to Kidderminster supporters but the third is a newcomer.

An experienced player, KCs were still tidying up the details of his transfer at the time of press.

Club president Ian Wilson has also organised a sponsored walk for KCs' visit to Shropshire.

The money will go into the funds being raised to complete the building programme at Marlpool Lane.

The walk, via Trimpley, Arley, and the west bank of the River Severn, is around 15-and-a-half miles and will be a test for the inexperienced walker.

The first walkers will leave at 7.30 am and it is hoped everyone will arrive in time for the 2-15pm kick off.

Anyone who would like to sponsor the walk can call Brian Gittins on 01562 745429.

Meanwhile, KCs are still trying to rearrange the long-awaited North Midlands Cup clash at Camp Hill.

It is proving difficult as Camp Hill are having to play postponed league fixtures.

Fixtures, Saturday: KCs v Bridgnorth, 1sts and 3rds away, 2nds and 4ths home (kick-offs 2.15pm).
