MALVERN Town have signed 20-year-old striker Dean Rob-erts from Dr Martens Western Division outfit Evesham United.
Roberts has been with Evesham for the past three seasons, but has recently struggled to hold a regular place in the starting line-up.
Malvern general manager Rich-ard Anson said: "We have been interested in Dean for a while --and see him as part of our long term plans."
Town do not rule out further signings over the next couple of weeks. "We have just put in a seven-day approach to another Dr Martens side for a young player who we will further strengthen to the squad."
Lee Hooper, Town's 16-year-old striker who has been tracked by Villa, Forest and Wolves, will play in a trial game for the Molineux club this Sunday.
Hooper has scored consistently since earning a regular place in the starting line up in October.
Malvern's youth team entertain West Bromwich Albion in a Midland Floodlit Youth League Cup tie tonight (7.45).
