WORCESTER Norton Hockey Club ladies first team are being frustrated.
Their schedule of friendly match preparations for the start of the Midland League are being hit by clubs being unable to raise teams in the post-Christmas period.
Last week it was Gloucester and this week it is Colwall, leaving the squad without a fixture for the second week running.
The second team are away to Bournville firsts in a tough pre-league encounter while the third team open their 2002 programme with a home fixture against Leamington (Nunnery Wood, 1.30pm).
With the increasing number of younger players joining the club Worcester are now starting a programme for a fourth team and their first game is on Saturday versus Blossomfield prior to the third team fixture at 12 noon.
On Sunday morning Worcester Under 19 team will be attempting to retain their Worcestershire Clubs Under 19 title in the finals at Stourport where their opponents will be the hosts and Pickwick Old Sills.
On Wednesday the Under 15 side will seek to progress into round five of the EHA Under 15 Cup for clubs and schools when they entertain Oakham School from Leicestershire at Nunnery Wood (4.30pm).
