THREE brands of hot dog sausages have been withdrawn by two supermarkets after warnings some tins could explode when opened or the contents cause food poisoning.
The Food Standards Agency said the products concerned were 400g cans of Dulano and Chira hot dog sausages, dated best before September 2004, which were sold by Lidl supermarkets, and 400g cans of Smart Price hot dog sausages, dated best before September 2003, and sold by Asda.
Consumers are advised not to open or eat these specific cans and to check they do not have any in their cupboards.
