Roads were closed in Cleobury Mortimer and residents were evacuated when a tanker began leaking liquid petroleum gas on Saturday.
Police and firefighters were called to the A4117 half a mile from Cleobury towards Kidderminster near the New Bridge Nursery at 10.20am.
A safety valve on the tanker had been malfunctioning and was releasing LPG, leading to the evacuation of residents to Cleobury Fire Station.
But the leak was sealed and the lorry moved to a depot in Birmingham by 4pm.
