Bertha Davies and Ellie Bing gave parties to celebrate their birthdays and each received a basket of flowers.
At the last meeting Irene Tasker gave a talk on Wyre Forest Talking Newspaper. The new representation for the Midland Association for the Blind, Joyce Carnie, emptied the collection boxes, which contained £24.69.
Groceries from Lickhill Schools' harvest festival were distributed to members, a Christmas luncheon was held at The Swan Hotel, and a Christmas party was held at the club with guests, Mayor Michael Grinnall, town clerk Dennis Rook, Len Darby and Jack Stringer.
Margaret Rogers of the Kidderminster Charity Singers arranged the entertainment, with Claire Hadland, Mary Field, Barry Freeman and Daphne Knight performing songs and monologues.
The first meeting of 2002 is on Monday, February 4 at 2pm at the Day Centre, when there will be a party and entertainment. New members will be welcome.
