DISTINCTIVE Kidderminster band Curb are set to play at the town's Tap House tonight.
The four-piece band, who claim their main strength is that they "don't sound like anyone else around at the moment", are making the first of two appearances at the Worcester Street venue this month - at the end of which they plan to record more material.
They describe their music as "indie pop mixed with 80s electronica" and draw comparisons with the likes of Placebo and Depeche Mode.
Vocalist James Hardiman said: "We are not typical pub indie rock. We are quite experimental in that we can be an indie pop band one minute and then change styles to become more electronic."
Guitarist and bass player Matthew Stephens said the band, who sell copies of their last CD Thinking Big at gigs, have been performing at least twice a month recently at venues such as Kidderminster's Seven Stars - where they can also be seen on Thursday, January 24 - and The Mitre in Stourbridge.
The Curb line up is completed by David Stephens and Iain Standing.
