A YOUNG singer has released a CD in memory of her former boyfriend to raise funds for charity.
Tom Ronchard died of a suspected heroin overdose last October, and now the 24-year-old's girlfriend is trying to raise money for a centre that helps drug and alcohol addicts.
Marianne Taylor, from Broadway, has released the CD, Thank You, under her stage name, Faith.
The dedication inside reads: "My debut album has been dedicated to a very special, talented young man, who will always stay close to my heart."
"When everything happened with Tom, I decided to do an album to raise money," said 21-year-old Marianne. "It came about very quickly.
"If you listen to the songs, it actually tells the story of my relationship with Tom. He was always very supportive of my singing."
Proceeds will go to St Saviour's Addiction and Rehabilitation Centre in Chipping Campden, near Broadway, which counsels and supports addicts trying to come clean.
The centre's project director, Cos Twomey, said: "We're extremely grateful to Marianne."
Copies of the CD cost £8 and are available from Jelf's newsagents, Broadway and from Marianne on 07779 995802.
