Every six years, the Church of England requires its parishes to completely renew their Church Electoral Rolls (not to be confused with Parliamentary Rolls). During January 2002 those already on the Roll of St James, Colwall, will receive a letter from the Rector and an application form. In order to be on the 2002-2008 Roll this form should be completed and returned before Monday, February 19, to the special boxes at St James Church, Chevenham and John Goodwin, Estate Agents. If you would like to receive a form and have not received one please ask the church electoral roll officer, Patricia Neve (561160) or one of the churchwardens.
There will be an open meeting on Monday, January 28, of the Village Society, when local artist and naturalist Dudley Brook will give an illustrated talk. It will be followed by tea, coffee and biscuits and a chat. This event is open to Village Society members and non-members alike.
A date for your diary, the next production by the Colwall Players with the Young Colwall Players will be Charlie and the Chocolate Factory from the book by Roald Dahl with music by Anthony Newly and Lesley Bricus. This will take place in the Village Hall at the end of February. Watch out for more details.
