THE service at St Mary's Church on Sunday, January 13, will be 8am, Holy Communion, using the Book of Common Prayer. This is an opportunity to start the day and the week in prayer and quiet reflection. At 6.30pm Kaleidoscope, our 'alternative worship service', will be held at St Peter's Church, Bushley. All parishioners are warmly invited to attend.

Longdon School children in years five and six will be visiting the Anne Frank Exhibition at Worcester Cathedral on Tuesday, January 15. The coach will leave school at 9am and return at around 4pm. Centred around Anne Frank's life as revealed in her famous diary, the exhibition puts the Holocaust into its historical context and highlights the problems of racism that still exist today. Over 3,500 pupils from county schools will be visiting the exhibition.

The Archdeacon of Worcester, the Ven Dr Joy Tetley, will be meeting with Longdon Parochial Church Council on Tuesday at 7.30pm in Longdon vicarage. Among the topics for discussion will be the future of Anglican ministry in the rural areas.

Members of Bridge Builders, our benefice Sunday school, are practising for their nativity play, to be performed at the family service in St Mary's Church on January 27. The next session is on Sunday, January 13 at 11.15am in Longdon vicarage.
