OVER 300 Christingle oranges were distributed to members of the Worcester Division of the Guide Association at a special service held at St Peter's Church, Powick last month. The service included readings and prayers and told the story of the Christingle and then described the work of the Children's Society, which has benefited from the £474.27 raised at the service by contributions from the children, from the youngest Rainbow, through Brownies, Guides, Rangers, Young Leaders and senior members of the Guide Association. At the beginning of the service each unit's standard was presented at the altar, and the service ended with the blessing by the vicar, Rev David Nichol.
