The daughter of a former Ledbury curate has sealed an eventful romance with a marriage ceremony taken by her own mother.
Rebecca Trafford-Roberts, 32, and Jamie Miller, 30, were married at Colwall's St James the Great Church on December 29 by Rev Ros Trafford-Roberts.
The Millers met in Islamabad, where Rebecca was working for the UN and Jamie for the British High Commission.
The then Miss Trafford-Roberts was working in a building targeted by Islamic Fundamentalists loyal to Osama Bin Laden on November 12, 1999.
The rocket they launched just 200 metres away from the UN building missed its target.
Mrs Trafford-Roberts said of the wedding: "It was an extraordinary occasion, very moving and very special."
Mr Miller is Scottish and piped his bride into church.
The main service was taken by family friend, Lucy Winkett, a Minor Canon of St Paul's Cathedral.
Mrs Trafford-Roberts stepped in to hear the actual marriage vows.
The newly-weds, who will begin Government jobs in London this spring, will have a two-month honeymoon in South America.
