LANGLAND Sports stretched their unbeaten record to 14 games in the Worcester League on Sunday as Robbie Perrins' four goals were the highlight of a comprehensive 5-0 win over Martley Spurs Reserves.

In testing conditions at Dukes Meadow, both sides played out a competitive first 20 minutes before Robbie Perrins pounced to give Langland the lead with a half volley from eight yards out.

Perrins was again on song ten minutes later, doubling the lead after taking advantage of a poor back pass out of the Spurs defence and finishing at his second attempt to leave Langland 2-0 up at the break.

Marshalled well by Jason Howes at the back, Sports took control in the second half and it was the centre back's timed through ball that allowed Perrins to grab his hat-trick with a superb lob from 20 yards.

Other excellent performances from Chris Postans, Pete Brannelly and Sam Dakin allowed Langland to dominate much of the second period, the latter setting up Perrins for his fourth of the day, another well taken goal after beating the Spurs keeper at his near post.

Despite chances to reduce the deficit late in the game from Martley's front runners, Langland held on to record a clean sheet.

It was left to Stu Harvey to be rewarded after his hard working performance with Langland's fifth, a well timed header from substitute John Halford's inch perfect cross on the right hand side, and complete Sports comfortable win.

On Sunday Sports play their first local derby of 2002 taking on Express 88. Players to meet at 9.50am at Victoria Park.
